We took a day trip to Cassis, which is a town on the Mediterranean coast, at the edge of the area people call the French Riviera. It was the most beautiful water I've ever seen.

The site where Cassis now sits was first occupied between 500 and 600 BC, and during the Roman times, Cassis was part of the maritime route made by the Emperor Antoninus Pius.
